In a word, humility.
Do you see humility coming from our political leaders? From anyone you know?
Like meekness, humility is perceived as a weakness, but it’s strength.
When Dr. Carson grew up in Detroit, he became involved in violence. Then he asked himself, What am I doing? Do I want to lead this kind of life?
Carson turned himself around and look at the results. He’s a very successful man.
There was a time when our political leaders called on God for help. During World War Two, FDR prayed to “God, Our Father,” asking him to “preserve America’s people, religion, and way of life.” Do you hear American presidents praying like that today?
Heck no. Now we have moments of silence. To call on the name of “God, Our Father” wouldn’t be PC. To the Left, America has “many religions,” but FDR didn’t see it this way.
Bottom line: It takes humility to pray. People who are arrogant won’t pray. In fact, they mock God and prayer, but wait until tragedy strikes. PC will be thrown out the window!
