During a recent sermon, Louis Farrakhan called Rudy Giuliani a “cracker” for questioning President Obama’s patriotism. He said Europeans are still guilty for the slavery that built America.
May I remind you that North Africans practiced white slavery for 600 years. North African ships invaded European coastal towns to kidnap white women for harems, brothels, and for ransom. They also kidnapped white men for galley ships and for other forms of slavery. When they started abducting American sailors and merchant marines, President Jefferson sent out the Marines to defeat these North Africans. Thus, we have the famous lines in the Marine hymn, “From the shores of Montezuma, to the shores of Tripoli.”
According to Mr. Farrakhan’s logic, we would conclude that Europeans built Africa and other Muslim nations where white slavery was in high demand.
In the words of Hypatia of Alexandria: “There is more that unites us than divides us.”
Mr. Farrakhan, please stop dividing us over ridiculous matters and brush up on your history.
